several of my friends wanted to learn to make soft baby shoes like i've been making for ella, so we had "shoe school" at my house last night. i had everybody measure their child's foot, take an outline, and bring some fabric or leather. i taught them how to make the patterns, then we cut out materials and we made the shoes! one of the mamas had never even sewn before, yet she finished a pair of shoes and her child got two compliments on them today at the playground!

we had so much fun, and i got so many requests, that i'm going to hold another shoe school before christmas. now, i wonder if i'm going to get any presents done???
